The climate is tropical, though moderated by trade winds.

In general, there is a drier season from November to April, and a rainier
season from May to October. Rainfall totals per month range from
1.77 – 7.17 inches (45 – 182 mm), with March having the least amount,
and June having the most. Notably, rainfall totals are also significant
when hurricanes are most common in September and October.

The average temperature is 69.8 ° Fahrenheit (21 ° Celsius) in January
and 80.6 °F (27 °C) in July.  Low temperatures range from 66.2 – 75.2 °F
(19 – 24 °C) with January and February having the lowest; and high
temperatures range from 78.8 – 89.6 °F (26 – 32 °C) with August
having the highest.
