LEAP OF FAITH
A Leap of Faith is the act of believing in or accepting something that is intangible, improvable,
theoretical, or without (or in spite of) empirical evidence. Some feel it is a virtue helping us to
enjoy fuller, better lives, while others feel it is foolishness (blind faith). Taking a leap of faith
can carry positive or negative connotations. It is reason and logic versus revelation or tradition.
A leap of faith involves circularity. Central to a leap of faith is the leap, and the leap is made by
faith, having confidence in a person, idea, thing, or unshaken belief, purity of thought, trust in
a transcendent reality or Supreme Being, and involves a concept of future events or outcomes.
It signifies a direct change (or move) from possessing one quality (or state) to another, and in
this transition, neither is held simultaneously. Taking a leap of faith comes naturally because
faith is an instinct of the human soul as a concept of God who unconditionally accepts man, faith
itself being a gift from God, and the highest moral position is reached when one realizes this,
and no longer dependent upon oneself, takes the leap of faith into the arms of a loving God.
To have faith involves an act of will. It causes changes and leads to an active life with the
intention of gaining greater understanding of the Creator of the Universe, in the authenticity
of Divine revelation and Oneness, experiencing spiritual healing and raising one's vibratory
frequency, awakening and progressing in enlightenment, and evolving to where life's
mysteries are unlocked -- understanding the very structure and nature of reality.
